It's Monday long run day . Did 7k last Monday and then 7k today. Difference being today felt so tiring compared to last week. Rain was battering down and there was a strong winds today don't know if that was the problem.
But I've done it , shower then back out with the dog.
Next week 8k .
Happy running πππ

Congratulations to you Buddy34 on running 7K again, I hope you enjoyed the run despite the cold wind and rain, just round the streets, not Drumpellier Park.
I am on the bus on my way to Stirling after taking a walk around Linthgow Loch, luckily it was dry until the last 50 metres, that was the same place that I ran run 3 of week 5 of C25K in May of last year.
I hope by the time I get to Stirling the showers will have gone off letting me have a walk up the Forth Walkway where in June 2018 I ran run 3 of week 8, 28 minutes, enjoy your walk with your dog πΆ.
On bus back home from my walk up the Forth Walkway at Stirling, when I got to Stirling at 11.50 am, the rain β had gone off, I bought a chicken sandwich and juice, then I went that walk, it reminded me of last year when I ranππΎ it, that was run 3 of week 8, 28 minutes, today just a nice slow strollπΆ
Good for you. Ian very impressed πI suspect you were out in similar weather to me today so I take my hat off to you for getting your 7K done. When the horizontal rain was driving into my already soaked face I called it quits today at 5K!
Some - but not all! That rain was coming from every direction today. I do feel now Iβve had a pretty good work out, though, all that extra jumping and dodging puddles π
Great effort and fantastic time. Impressed, and height gain too - go go Buddy. My 7k was almost an hour - really working on this super slow. Went out and tested lower IT band this morning- flat and grass easy does it, completed week4run1 - 4k 30mins.
Yes, I have done a couple of gentle 5ks and everything was fine. I was going to run this weekend but my social life took over, so I'm going out tonight. Just debating buying one of those knee supports in Boots; I suspect they are useless but might make me feel better!
Try kinetic tape. I have a pinched cartilage and before C25Klooked on you tube at how to apply it. It should not work. It seems like a fad but I tried it and by golly it worked. Since then I have done the 5k without issue.
Buddy34 is running really fast Floss, a very nice person, I met her on Saturday at parkrun, once she has finished her 10K training, I think her time will be about 60 minutes.
Honestly I've been trying to slow down to run longer but when I come back my pace is much the same . Glad I've only got one long run a week it's tiring but great at the same time π
