Well following some lovely sunny weekdays, I was looking forward to the last run of week three of the magic plan. A new trail to follow and some spring flowers to spot...the washed out reality was rather different!
I started off too fast I think, in part due to the buckets of rain and so by the 5k mark I was rather fatigued. I slowed it down for the sixth kilometre and by the time I began the seventh I’d picked up the pace again as the end was in sight.
I think the magic plan is so fabulous, I knew I had done 6K last week and 7K didn’t seem so much of a step up. I remain energised by my excitement to hit 10k!
Fantastic run, well done. It really does help to try to slow down for your long runs, plenty time to speed up later. 10k is well within your sights. Happy running 🤗
I have to make a huge effort to slow down for that first km, but if I do, it makes the whole run so much easier because then you can speed up gradually as your body warms up. 😊
