Okies.. as I'm nearly at the end of juju's Magic 10k plan .. what's the plan afterward? Obviously consolidated runs , three per week.. daresay some pyramids etc
What does everyone else move onto as their focus?

Well done with your progress. I’ve done a virtual fundraiser and I set myself long term distance goals. Aiming for at least 100k per month, went a bit crazy in April and did 146k. I’ve also set a target to run the NC500 as a virtual route in 2020 it’s 516 miles of beautiful Scottish scenery, should be finished by September. Happy running 🤗
What may I ask is juju's Magic 10k plan ?
(Not that I have run 5k yet ! 😂)
Its a fantastic running plan to get you running from 5k to 10k over 8weeks, similar to C25K you have three runs per week.
The best plan is to have absolutely no plan!! Well done on your progress 🍾
I think after hitting 10k that you can run free, run longer or shorter and somewhere in between. If you them fancy 10 miles or maybe a HM in time they will come to you rather than you to them. You'll pick up experience, strength and stamina and a fortitude to run all distances in all weathers. Then however you want to go will happen naturally. You may feel strong one day and just pull out a 8 or 9 mile run and you'll know you are on the way. There are lots of types of runs too but you'll find your path 😊
Depends where you want to go next really... there’s 10mile/15k events and plans... you could skip them and go to HM... you could want to follow a race plan over 5/10k... you could want to go a different route.
Whatever you choose... when the average person can’t run a mile and you can do 6 and a quarter (or thereabouts) a smug grin is required.
For me it was so the 10k a few times then just adapt the plan by keeping the two shorter runs at 5k/30 mins and adding 500m/5 mins to the long run every couple of weeks until I eventually got to HM. Having said that I also just did a lot of "unplanned" running where I just laced up, headed out and saw where it took me. It really is just up to you and what you feel like doing.
Sounds good!
