I have had a couple of great runs this week; I did 9k in 1’03” on Saturday, accidentally in my old, worn-out On Cloudflyers, then a sub 34” 5k on Tuesday wearing the same shoes, my first 5k where every km was under 7 mins. So, anyway I had planned to go out at 5pm today, but I got delayed, and there is a huge storm forecast and by the time I set off the sky was black. I put on the Ons although I thought my luck couldn’t possibly hold, and that maybe I’d just do 5k. I settled into my run and noticed that my first 1k was sub 7 min so I decided just to go for it. Long story short, I did it! And I enjoyed it. I think I get into a rhythm after around 3k so a longer distance suits me.
Thank you so much Roseabi and Ju-Ju - the plan really is magic. Xxxx

Congratulations on completing your first 10K, well done, to get your graduation10 badge and the word GRADUATE10🎓 next to your username leave a message on the October graduate10 homepage in the pinned posts on the right side of the healthunlocked graduate10 page and tell the administrators that you have ran a 10K
I hope they will listen, I find that telling people that I run, they think I am bragging about running, strangely enough when I tell them that I have gone a long walk or cycle ride they say that was very nice and don't get that strange look I got when running. 😊 🏃🏾
There are some parkruns on Christmas Day, not everywhere, on New Year's Day, yes they are all on, however, some are on at 11 am to allow the runners to run TWO parkruns, perhaps in your case Buddy34, Strathclyde Parkrun might be at 9.30 and Drumpllier at 11, that's to allow runners to run at two in the one day. Checkup on the Parkrun Website nearer the time.
Hi JaoJao, thank you. I’m not sure what to do next. Perhaps repeat the Magic plan with a focus on speed and on doing the strengthening exercises which I accidentally forgot about after week 2. X
Thanks backintime. Parkrun has hit a roadblock of French bureaucratic intransigence but as soon as I have time I’ll be finding new ways to get over the obstacles. X
Eek! I think I’ll try to break 30mins for 5k and 1 hour for 10k first. I’ll definitely keep running, thanks to the Magic Plan and all the lovely people on here. X
Not been on for a while, so just seen this - well done, that's brilliant! Glad you are well and truly off the IC and it seems that distance really suits you 😍
