Oops 12.47k!

I was going to do 10k today. The plan was to park the car in one park run to another along the sea front to meet up with my local running group to do our regular 5K and then run back to the car. Except I miscalculated the distance. Instead of it being about 2.5 k between the parks it was more like 3.5! By the time I realised my mistake I was almost at our meeting point. So I thought I would just carry on regardless and if it was too much I could always walk. But low and behold I did it. Yes my legs are a bit sore especially my dodgy knee (stiff more than painful) but I did it. I can’t quite believe it.

And yes I did Jeff and I think it made a difference. Took 7 minutes off my previous 10k time. It may have been due to the conversation I had with my group or the silly podcast I was listening to when I was on my own but whatever it was I’m a very happy bunny. Hoppy hop to the hairdressers now with a big grin on my face. 😊🏃🏻‍♀️

Great stuff! Better than the disappointment of discovering you only did 9km 🤔

Wow, great run well done! 😊 The message from your running app - 'Harder than your usual effort' made me smile! 😄

Funnily it usually says that. I’m pushing the boundaries I think. 😂

Wowee, that's brilliant...I accidentally did almost 13K today! 🏃‍♀️😊 I aspire to be that chill about my running one day. Also your app made me laugh, looks to me like it's giving you a telling off for over doing it 😆

I’m amazed myself. I seem to have crossed a line with my running in that I’m more confident in my abilities. As for Strava telling me it was harder it makes me laugh too. I did know that too! It often says that. My next challenge is to get it to stop saying that by slowing down. But as I’m still slow I think it’s a case of improving my fitness/strength/stamina.
