Just realised I’ve posted in a Bridge to 10K group. Think that’s a long way off 🤣. Need to master 5K in the 30 mins I can now run 😊.
Oops: Just realised I’ve posted in a Bridge to... - Bridge to 10K
Oops
Don't worry about that, well done on completing C25K, you don't need to run 5K in 30 minutes to graduate, good luck for your 10K run and training.
It’s a natural progression after graduation, because a lot of the people you know from C25k will have moved here too. You can be on 2 or 3 forums - one to support those on c25k who are following in your wake, then the consolidation club to help you during the important weeks post graduation and also the Bridge where you can linger as long as you like before extending your distance and pick up lots of great advice.
So, welcome. This is just the start of your running journey
No problem posting here !I'm sure 10k will be sooner than you may think 😁👍
I need 43 to 46 minutes for 5K and I am here too. No problem I think? I prefer running slow and enjoying it. Currently working up to 60 minutes in which I hope to do 6,5K.
Running 5k in 30 minutes isn’t a requirement for being on the bridge Twinkl66 - just as well, otherwise I’d never be here in a million years! But welcome!
Stay! This forum is for anyone who is either at 30mins and aiming for 60mins eventually, or at 5k and aiming for 10k. There are two types of graduate badge, time or distance. So you have every right to be here, and we like that you’re here. Also, it’s a place a lot of people hang out to natter about their running even after they’ve graduated, it’s full of lovely knowledgeable people who can give great advice and support about all sorts of things from kit to a lost mojo to how to handle your first race. See you around!
Thanks Magellan - what a lovely message. I will stay as it’s good to get advice. On that subject, any recommendations for wireless headphones and iPhone holders? Been using a bumbag and feel I need to improve on the kit 😊.
I haven’t much experience to compare this and that, so I’ll just say what I have. I use these headphones amazon.co.uk/Bluetooth-Head...
They are wired to each other which I like because it makes it harder to lose. They came with different sizes of rubber fitting so they’re comfy.
I have my music in my watch (Garmin vivoactive 3 music) so I don’t usually use a phone thing, although for my trail runs I have a light bag decathlon.co.uk/p/trail-run...
It’s got a water pipe at the shoulder so I can drink while I run, and there’s a phone pocket at the front that’s secure.
The aim in c25k is to run 3 times per week for 30 minutes..
