I've been a bit quiet on here lately.... but have still been reading all your posts!
Issues with the menopause and now issues with water retention due to hrt, my running has been unspectacular (Is that even a word?) but I'm still running! My pace has dropped and I'm a long way from being back at my March pace. But it's improving slowly. I still want to run!
My Mizuno shoes have been great for a year but pain in my right foot meant I went back to the lovely Run shop in Swindon this morning. I have new shoes! I love them already and can't wait to try them out. I had another gait analysis, the shop owner told me my right leg kicks out like Phoebe in Friends!! Ha ha! Completely true! I love her character so I see it as a compliment! Husband thinks this is hilarious....!
I've got two 10k races booked for November and December and am going to run the Landmarks Half Marathon in March, for Bowel Cancer UK - as I am a bowel cancer survivor. I'm very excited about that! So 10k is my focus until December then half marathon training properly.

Lovely shoes Ang, that's nice to hear from you that you are going to run two 10Ks in November and December, also the Landmarks HM in March, good luck for those three runs.
Love your new shoes Ang! Brooks are my fav after a few different brands I just can't see past them. I'm around 50K away from my upgrade. Only changed colour as I really don't want to risk even a model change. π
Sorry to hear of your historic and new health issues, but it's great that you're still getting out there.
They are SO sexy! Great excuse to run. The menopause is a menace. I hope things settle down soon. Sorry to hear you've had the dreaded big C. Glad you're out there running. Good luck for your races, and for your training next year π
Yaaay Ang!! Good to hear from you. Every run is itβs own kind of spectacular. Iβm doing βpootlesβ right now. Regular and very short runs. Iβve not done more than 15 mins in several weeks, but itβs almost daily and Iβm enjoying it. Iβve had a lot on to be able to say I wonβt bother or donβt have time or energy. For now Iβm just aiming to keep going.
Lovely brooks the best I think which ones are they? and well done for doing 2 10K races on in November and December and doing a half marathon in March which I salute you for being a survivor my heart goes out to you β€οΈx
Love a shoe pic! And lovely they are. Keep on going and all the best with your upcoming races. A few friends did the London landmarks half this year and loved it, so looking forward to hearing how it goes! πββοΈπββοΈπ
Well aren't they gorgeous!...I'm sorry but I'll have to re-read the rest of your post again later as I'm struggling to focus on anything but the shoes π. Also I love Phoebe and her crazy running, unlike her you won't have to hear no-ot mine, no-ot mine while you're out in yours π
I love new shoes pictures π. Hate getting them dirty though until the first muddy run and then I get over myself. Wishing you many happy running miles together ππ½ββοΈ.
Fab shoes & great plans! I'm a bit of a Phoebe runner too! I admire your positivity and drive to carry on running and take part in races. It's so good to have a focus whilst looking after your health at the same time. I'm blundering through the menopause years at the moment, trying to work out how to alleviate each new symptom ππ€ͺ! Hope you enjoy your new Brooks & are super speedy and comfy in them. Good luck with the races!
