New shoes and dry feet!

As I want to continue running outside, I decided it was time for some new shoes. My Salomons have been great while it’s been dry, but no good for puddles. Waterproof trail shoes and half price on Black Friday😃. I was going to try them out on this week’s short run, but after 2k I felt good so carried on. 8k done! Was hoping for under an hour, but 1 hour and 15 seconds 😫 Still, Strava says 1h 0m, so that’ll do for me.

Well done on a great 8k run, and many more happy runs in them😊xx

They look very comfortable, can't see the brand though...?

Thanks Bluebirdrunner. They’re nothing fancy, just Karrimor!

Lovely shoes Sandie, and waterproof too - the height of luxury!

I've sort of got used to getting wet feet - it's the waiting for my shoes to dry out that annoys me!

I hate having cold wet feet and they have trail soles to give more grip, so fingers crossed they get me through winter without mishap

Thanks TS! Good luck with your 8k. You’ll smash it I know. Look forward to your post. I’m thinking of making my first ever 10k the Trust10 in Clumber Park in Nottinghamshire on 23rd December. Just think it would be nice to do it in a crowd, rather than alone 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 for your run! Good plan with the waterproof shoes. My white Saloman Runs are looking rather grey at the moment and definitely permeable!

I’ve decided my feet are Salomon shaped, as my ski boots are also Salomon and against all experience actually comfortable, but so far, so good with the Karrimors!
