I was awake just after 05.00 this morning, and having spent 2 days (so far) decorating, I was keen to go for a run, so why wait?!!
As I was trotting along admiring the misty fields and smelling the honeysuckle I found myself thinking of Vintage61 , and her post about not going fast enough if you can admire the view.
That got me thinking about dark mornings (I know, sorry!!) and how running is such a different experience depending on when and where you do it, it's not just a case of pounding the pavements. It's far more than that. It has taken me a few season changes to appreciate this aspect.
Today was a lovely run, physically a bit testing, as I have a decorating related thigh issue, but mentally quite joyful.
Everyone I saw seemed friendly, the man on the moped beeped and gave me a big thumbs up, 2 cyclists said "morning" and gave me room!!!
Today feels good.๐คฉ๐คฉ๐คฉ๐คฉ
I hope it is a good one for all of you, now I have to get back to glossing ๐คฏ

It was lovely, after I stopped running I went and had a bit of a chat with some horses, maybe I should start taking some carrots out with me! It all just felt happy and friendly today.๐
I always say hello to the horses. I said good morning to some cows recently and they jumped out of their skins! I was obviously so quiet they didn't hear me pounding ๐๐
I agree with you Jell6, a nice run around sunrise as you have described is nicer than a run in the middle of the afternoon, lovely photos you have taken of the mist lying low on the fields where you ran past. the official term of that is 'ground fog', makes the run more enjoyable. Talking about dark mornings, won't be too long before they are back, even now at 5 am it's starting to be dark.
Itโs killing me, started off getting the bathroom ready for a new shower, spread into all the gloss work in the bedroom, which somehow led onto the staircase ๐คฏ๐คฏ
Once you start.... you just keep going and going. You need to put that brush down or you will be still going next week ๐Thankfully after my first attempt many years ago I am banned from decorating. Result ๐
Oh how lovely Jell! I hope to have a misty morning run tomorrow as weโre off to a wedding. Thereโs something magical about early mornings once youโre out of the house. ๐ Great run, well done! ๐๐
Enjoy the wedding cheeky, imagine all the guilt free eating you will be able to do, I expect you burn off a huge amount of calories since you started all the mega runs ๐คช
I think if you didn't enjoy the views around you running outside would get boring. Also know how you feel just finished decorating my kitchen glad it's finished ๐๐
