Out for a 10k yesterday after work. It was such a lovely early evening out on my trails - and I had one of those lovely, easy runs where you find your 'happy place' and lose yourself in the music (Hamilton the musical, thank you!) and the beauty of the countryside. Slightly ruined by a fly landing in my eye at about 2k๐ก (must remember my sunglasses next time) but I guess that's summer running for you, especially when off road along tracks still muddy from earlier in the week. Still getting a little tightness in my IT band after runs which is affecting my left knee but hoping this will settle again as I am now being very disciplined with my clams, bridges and a variety of stretches!
Happy running this weekend to you all! ๐๐๐ป๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ

Ahhhh......a happy place run ๐.... how glorious! Good job on doing your clamshells, bridges, stretches! I have not been good at doing those despite knowing I must. Oops ๐คญ. I must get on those....
Ooh... I got a fly in my eye while running on Thursday, not nice is it? I didn't stop but spent a while rubbing the eye. Luckily it wasn't my contact lens eye, which is the other one ๐
Sounds lovely Sandra. My IT affects my left leg too. Mine starts to complain on long runs which I think might be because Iโm getting tired and I donโt lift my leg up enough. Iโve been experimenting!
Also I havenโt been regular with the foam roller which makes a big difference for me.
My left leg is weaker too IP - I often notice it towards the end of a run and like you, have to almost focus on making it work as hard as the right!!๐
Ooo lovely Sandra! It sounds so casual - just popping out for a 10k after work! Arenโt we amazing being able to do that! ๐โโ๏ธ๐๐๐
Thatโs one of the very reasons I wear sunglasses - to keep critters out of my eyes. It used to happen to me out riding a lot, and I was forever fishing them out (yuk!)
Take care of that IT band! ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ
