Still training for the Great South Run on 21st ( my race number arrived today๐Ÿ˜ฎ)! My weekday runs this week have been a steady 7k on Tuesday and a faster 5k with Fartleks today. Pleased with my pace today ๐Ÿ˜€ which has really started started to improve as I have increased my distance runs beyond 10k (along with the Fartleks, I think). Hoping for another 15/16k on Sunday and will then ease off a little until the big day! Happy running this weekend!๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿป

Wow, that's really impressive, and a great pace, perfect for leading up to a HM (is it a HM?)

I'm so happy that you're doing this. I was hoping to be able to do the Manchester HM this month, but due to stupid misbehaving legs, I'm having to slow down and shorten my runs.

All the best for the rest of your training, do let us know how you get on, won't you? :)

Neil

Hi Neil - It's a 10 miler and I ran it a couple of years ago and loved it! Couldn't do it last year due to injury and it has been a long road back. Good luck with your HM plans. I hope to do my second, probably in the spring as I enjoy training in the colder weather! Hope you are niggle free soon - it is so frustrating when you can't make a race but it happens to so many of us at times. We rest up, recover and focus on the next one! ๐Ÿ™‚

That's all sounding great, well done. That's a super fast 5k! My race number arrived today too. Have been looking at it wistfully and reading about running!!! Toying with the idea of parkrun in the morning then the rest of the weekend on the couch - IF I can get my sports bra on over this stupid, stupid rash ๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿคข๐Ÿ˜ก

Great pace Sandra! Good to know Iโ€™m not the only one suffering the dreaded fartleks :). My last long run is tomorrow too. Best of luck on Sunday and with your 10 miler. Looking forward to reading all about it.

Thanks Decker!๐Ÿ˜€ Good luck with your last long training run too and of course your Half on the 21st. ๐Ÿƒ๐ŸปIt's good to feel the miles are there in your legs ready for race day, so I will feel pleased after tomorrow's run (hopefully!๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ™‚)

Speedy Sandra ๐Ÿ™‚ fab pace there. Once the race number arrives, the jitters start (or maybe that's just me ๐Ÿ˜ญ )

You're more than ready for the race as it sounds as if your training has gone really well. You'll be fab. Not long to go......wheeeee ....
