... made this morning’s run a real pleasure. 😊 In spite of recent sweeps of monsoon weather - or maybe because of? - every plant seems to be intent n putting on a great show. Even the rather sterile grain field I pass (barley, I think) looked lovely. And the verges are full of wild flowers. I even forgave the thistles that tried to grab my legs, as purple blossom was attracting bees.
Moreover the weather was temporarily brightish and lightly breezy. After an icy dousing and near-drowning experience on Monday, I am appropriately grateful. 👏🏼🎉
Happy running, all.

Well Done GS. Let’s hope that poetic offering persuades one or two, who still like to stay glued to the telly screen on their treadmill, to venture out and enjoy the occasional vitamin D along with that all pervading smell. What smell? Fresh Air! Carry on enjoying your running adventures.
Beautiful. We're so lucky to live in such a wonderful part of the world. Without rain there is no greenery and no flowers - it's the price we pay for the breathtaking beauty of our countryside.
Lovely Granspeed, I ran past some gardens this morning and the scent of old fashioned roses was gorgeous. So town or country , still great to be outside.
I, too, am blessed to be able to run past beautiful gardens and hedgerows, as I live in a small village bordered by countryside. It is very uplifting to run in such surroundings, isn’t it? 😊
