😬 I had problems with both Map my Run (it once claimed I ran a kilometre in 2 mins - now, I can go fast but not THAT fast). Switched to Strava and similar odd things happened, down to GPS dropping I reckon. Gave up and got a Garmin for my birthday. It never lets me down!

that's annoying. If you really want to know how far you ran and can remember your route then you could use the measure distance function in google maps. It's a bit fiddly but accurate!
I wouldn't rely on phone GPS and an app, they can be really unreliable. Having said that, my Garmin has robbed me of part of a run a couple of times - but only a couple over a year). Sometimes devices just lose the satellite, but watches do so less and are more accurate.
Can I justify the expense of a GPS watch???? Mind you Father Christmas is coming soon. 🤔🤔🤔

I run with both a gps watch and Runkeeper on my phone. Although they may not show the exact same distance, they're usually quite close.

Dexy and I both run with Garmin 35s. Yesterday we finished up running together for the last 2 laps of a just under 1k circuit, never more than 5 paces apart, and our watches beeped "4k complete" simultaneously. My last k split came up as 6'28" and hers as 6'41"!
Curious about this, I started delving and discovered the tracks on the computer screen show her starting her 4th k at a point around 30m away from (before) my start point, which explains the time discrepancy, but not why we then finished in the same place
Hey ho, I suppose tech gremlins are less bother than running gremlins …...
To be fair I'm not that bothered about anything being super accurate. I just feel cheated out of a run in my weekly statistics. At lease I know I completed the run and can move onto the next one. I'm aiming for at least 8 K on Sunday. Now I would be furious if the app miscalculated that run.....
