It's my first time doing an organised run on my own tomorrow! I ran the Oxford 10k last year but with a friend, this time it's just me. I kinda feel like a 'real runner' now because of this lol although I'm now a novice with the marathon training!! All you guys are lovely, I'm sure everyone running tomorrow will be too! π€πββοΈ

Oh how exciting! Good luck Claire and enjoy it. Remember not to start off too fast...
But yes, youβre definitely a βreal runnerβ πββοΈπββοΈπ
π Nerves are kicking in now! Adrenaline might be good for my pace lol!
Good luck Claire! Looks like you've got a nice day for it. ππββοΈ
Ooooo Happy Race Running Clare. Have a fabulous run and let us know how you get on. ππΌββοΈππΌββοΈππ
Good luck Claire. Have a great run π
Have a great time tomorrow Clare- we want photos and a post when youβve recovered.
Good luck tomorrow Claire, I entered it but Iβm still laid up with a pesky ankle injury.... been 3 weeks now π
Oh no you and Flick π Best to rest though x
Let me know how you do please Claire π
I'm well chuffed with my time of 1hour 2 minutes and 47 seconds. π I could have made it 60 minutes if I just hadn't slowed slightly at 9k! Next time..... x
Thatβs a brilliant time Claire, very well done Iβm pleased for you. Youβll break the hour soon Iβm sure π
I recently did my first sub 30 parkrun.....29β28β but this injury has set me back a bit π
Take care, maybe catch you at a parkrun sometime?
Thank you. Wow I dream of a sub 30 5k lol. I'm still to do a parkrun but I really want to. Let me know when you are able to run again and I will sort childcare for the girls and join you.
It must be annoying not running. Fingers crossed you are back out soon x
Iβm climbing up walls at the moment Claire.
Yes, Iβll let you know when Iβm up and about. I actually went for a walk around Farmoor Reservoir this afternoon and broke out into a jog a couple of times. Still a bit sore but feels a lot better than it did π€
Have a great run. I hope the weather is kind and you have fun! Will you get bling?
Thank you all. My official time was 1hour 2 minutes 47 seconds so fairly close to my lose aim of 60 minutes. I chose to run with the 60 minute pacer group and push myself even though the fastest 10k I've ran prior to this was 1hour 7mins. But sometimes it's worth pushing yourself! I now trust interval training too and feel a 1000 times way more confident about my training for my Marathon. ππββοΈ xx
