It's my first time doing an organised run on my own tomorrow! I ran the Oxford 10k last year but with a friend, this time it's just me. I kinda feel like a 'real runner' now because of this lol although I'm now a novice with the marathon training!! All you guys are lovely, I'm sure everyone running tomorrow will be too! πŸ€žπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Oh how exciting! Good luck Claire and enjoy it. Remember not to start off too fast...

But yes, you’re definitely a β€œreal runner” πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ™‚

Nerves are good as they give you energy when you need it! It’s a lot of fun, you’ll feel epic when you cross that finish line πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ

Good luck πŸ€

I'm well chuffed with my time of 1hour 2 minutes and 47 seconds. 😊 I could have made it 60 minutes if I just hadn't slowed slightly at 9k! Next time..... x

That’s a brilliant time Claire, very well done I’m pleased for you. You’ll break the hour soon I’m sure 😊

I recently did my first sub 30 parkrun.....29’28” but this injury has set me back a bit 😞

Take care, maybe catch you at a parkrun sometime?

Thank you. Wow I dream of a sub 30 5k lol. I'm still to do a parkrun but I really want to. Let me know when you are able to run again and I will sort childcare for the girls and join you.

It must be annoying not running. Fingers crossed you are back out soon x

I’m climbing up walls at the moment Claire.

Yes, I’ll let you know when I’m up and about. I actually went for a walk around Farmoor Reservoir this afternoon and broke out into a jog a couple of times. Still a bit sore but feels a lot better than it did 🀞

Thank you all. My official time was 1hour 2 minutes 47 seconds so fairly close to my lose aim of 60 minutes. I chose to run with the 60 minute pacer group and push myself even though the fastest 10k I've ran prior to this was 1hour 7mins. But sometimes it's worth pushing yourself! I now trust interval training too and feel a 1000 times way more confident about my training for my Marathon. πŸ˜ŠπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ xx
