Hi all. I’ve done it! Sub 1 hour 10K non stop. I’m delighted. I did a 7K loop and a 3K loop. The 3K loop was the loop I used for C25K plan 2 years ago.
Never imagined I’d ever be able to run 10K in 1 hour. I knocked 17 minutes off my previous 10K time.
I’m putting the legs up for the evening.

Congratulations Damienair, I hope you have a wonderful evening celebrating your sub 1 hour 10K run today. 😊 🏃 I notice that you ran it in 58 minutes.15.6 seconds, excellent.
Talking about loops, there is a route near where I live which is 98% off road, after the 5K part ends I can extend it to 10K by up to now walking the second part on a exactly 1K loop 3 times and continuing for the other 2 kilometers to where I started the 5K which begins and ends only a ten minute walk from where I live.
Thank you. Yes it’s great to have a choice of routes and not have to go too far. I’ve a 3.2K, 5K and 7K loop right outside my door. And it’s all street lighting which is great during the winter evenings.
There are a few running anniversaries around this time of the year, the reason being it is now spring and many people including myself started C25K about now, the exact date I started was 18 April 2018, so this coming Wednesday is my runiversary
After a winter break I have resumed running with a few reruns of C25K, last Saturday I rerun week 3 at the exact place I graduated, this morning I reran run 1 of week 4, during the second 90 second walk 2 runners passed me around 10 seconds before I ran the last 5 minutes part of the run, I managed to keep going at the same pace as they were going until they stopped their run, I still had around 3 minutes left until the end of the my run, all in all I enjoyed that run, may repeat either run 3 or 4 next week.
Although I have graduated I am a little concerned about the longer runs of week 5 to 9 after so long a break from them, during the winter months I only reran occasionally runs 1 or 2 to keep my legs in running order during many of the long walks 🚶 I do at that time of the year.
Thank you SueKen, yes my 2 year runniversary is around now or perhaps a couple of weeks ago. I know my Parkrun 2 year Anniversary is at the end of April. I’ve 35 Parkruns complete. Another 15 until I get that lovely red milestone T-Shirt.
My last 10K time was 1 hour and 15 minutes. I managed to knock off 17 minutes just by doing 5K interval training. Just concentrate on 5K , and work on 5K speed. And just enjoy longer distance runs. The speed will come from 5K.
Look at me, 2 years ago I was a couch potato. Nothing is impossible.
