Mission accomplished

I've been eyeing up this route for a while now. The freshly laid tarmac and flat area just too appealing. It was still tough but it didn't feel like I was working as hard as Garmin later reported. I'm glad I did it but for various reasons I didn't get to warm down properly and I am definately feeling that so won't allow that to happen again.

Happy running folks πŸ‘πŸ˜

Good morning and what a great start to the day!

Wow, what a run! I know what you mean about warming down. My blood pressure is on the low side and so is my resting heart rate, so I feel faint if I just go from running to stop.

It's more muscles... they really didn't like just being shut down. I'm still feeling it this morning (that was 5pmish yesterday after work)

Take it easy Flick, I feel faint from just reading what you said. Xx

I’ve learned to walk for at least five minutes after a run, then I’m fine 😊 xx

ARG me too, it drives me crazyβ€”I'm OK in training, but if I go all out it's terrible. At the end of a race everyone seems to just stop dead at the finish line, and then there's me trotting along awkwardly right through the funnel like a circus pony.

Woooah! What a great run JoJo! You have a great pace. I feel infinitely jealous of that route, looks fab. I don’t mind the odd hill, but there is such pleasure to be had on a long, flat run. 😊 Good work! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

My usual routes are so up and down I just couldn't resist trying a flat. One end has a flyover but compared to my area it's just a gentle incline! 🀣

Unfortunately I don't think I'll do it too often. It's near my work, getting changed at work, plus dodgy layby parking and having to get home after means it was a little more stressful than I'd like but I had to do it, I've been looking at it too long.

I tried to keep the pace steady to go the distance. That's currently my longest distance πŸ‘πŸ˜

Hi GoGo_JoJo how are you? 😊 That looks a lovely route and you run at a lovely pace too, I'd love to get diwn to that..... one day. Careful when you go again re the warming down, I can't talk though as I often don't do it. What a lovely post though to start me on my day xx πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

Don't worry about pace, it really does just pick up with regular runs. πŸ‘πŸ˜ I'm always conscious of time after work as I need to eat and get ready for the next day. I wish I could go out without any time constraints but there just always seems to be something waiting on me!

I'm doing pretty good thanks... had some weird ups and downs lately... not sure whether part is so much exercise I feel it when I don't do any πŸ€” so many possible factors and I'm really ok overall so not dwelling on it too much.

How's your Mum doing? Things calming down a little your end yet?

Oh I wish I didn't have any time constraints too, like us all I guess. It prevents many things from happening.

Thank you for asking about my mum, that's kind of you. She's doing okay for now, but was in hospital about 6 weeks ago, for nearly 3 weeks, but ended up contracting other ailments whilst in there, a clot on the lung, hospital acquired pneumonia, but thankfully she has recovered from that, but it was such a worry. Thank you for asking. The pups are 8 and 9 months now, a handful lol, eating sprigs, wood, from the two trees we've had cut down, they're eating grass and earth until its driven me nuts 🀣 but I think one starts and the other thinks it's a good idea too. They are lovely though, but I'll never have two pups again, haha x

Well if nothing else the pups are a distraction!!

Glad to hear your Mum is doing better and home again.

Life puts all these lumps in the way of our smooth paths! πŸ‘πŸ˜‰
