First post grad run.

Felt oddly apprehensive for this run, not sure why. So I took Laura from C25K along with me for good measure! And glad I did. It was hard today, I’d not reckoned on so much snow to run on. After the first 10 minutes, during which I gave myself a talking to about not giving up, I settled into a comfortable pace and ran for 37 minutes. I did 5k and considering the fell track I was on and the snow I reckon it was ok. I am totally connected with this running now. Looking forward to next one.

Well done, that sounds a lot more than OK. It is a bit daunting, leaving the structure of C25k for the big wide unknown. But it’s great 🙂

Well done Dowat! You sound like you’ve got running in the snow nailed. I can only imagine how quick you’ll be in perfect conditions. 👏👏

Happy running to you. 😀

Well done 👏🏻👏🏻. Did my 1st post grad run yesterday too🏃🏽‍♀️. Didn't like the idea of being alone so used Nike Run Club...lots to choose from. Like you I added time on ... 35 mins for me, thankfully in decent just a bit windy weather. 🏃🏽‍♀️😊

Yes I couldn’t let Jo Whiley go for a few runs post graduation but then I thought the c25k people needed her more than me so said ta ra and started on my own. Well done for getting to 5k, but don’t forget to consolidate for 3 weeks before moving on in time and distance. Your body will thAnk you for it.

Yes I know I’ve really got to be strict. Having had a calf injury @ week 6 on c25k I really don’t want that to happen again. Reminders to consolidate are much appreciated as that’s definitely what I need.
