Resolution Run for the Stroke Association - 15K

Haven't posted in ages, but as I'm gearing up for a charity 15K run for Stroke I thought I should drop by and drum up some emotional support!

My longest run to date is 14K and it was a push. So, I'm facing the next step with a little trepidation.

As I'm doing the Virtual, which fits into my busy life a little easier, I'm planning to coincide it as near as possible with my birthday. It highlights my change in priorities. Instead of boozing and eating rubbish for most of my birthday 'week' per previous years, I'll be watching what I eat and fuelling for my run.

I'm also interested in who else among you is doing a Resolution Run, I know there are various distances and events and it will be nice to share the experience with anyone else taking part.

I'm posting a link to My Story where I'll post updates...

That’s brilliant Hidden ! Just slow it down a tad and you’ll smash that 15k for a very worthwhile cause. Good luck! 🏃‍♀️💪🏼🏆Xx

Great news Sutsha - you're an accomplished runner and, having already done 14k, you'll manage 15k no problem. And always good to get to another milestone!

Best of luck on the day and enjoy that healthy birthday week :)

It's crazy, when I ran 8K, I knew instinctively I'd manage 10K. But this extra 1K right now feels almost impossible. Doesn't help that I've been sidelined this past week!

Your faith in me is very much appreciated.

Thank you and good luck with your own journey. I've been running since April and loving my own journey. 😁

Good luck with your 15k Sutsha- an excellent cause too. I lost my Dad and Brother-in-Law as a result of strokes. You’ll do brilliantly I’m sure, just 1 more km. 🏃‍♀️👏👏

Thanks Dexy! Sorry to hear your experience with the cause. I've 3 survivors of Stroke in my circle and I'm so very grateful they did survive. Catching the early signs is so important and I'm glad there's been an increase in public knowledge in the post few years, it can make the world of difference.

Hope this message finds you well, long time, no speak! Xx

I’m really well thanks Sutsha. Just getting back into running, after a break for a cold and then ski holiday. So far so good.
