A lovely sunny day up here in the Noth East and after a morning of boring chores I was itching to get out.
Although i have been doing this 5k a day run streak I thought since it was so nice I might go a bit longer, thinking 7km , maybe 8.
Anyhow I headed off north from Dinnington, first to Horton Grange then carrying on up the narrow country lane that goes to Tramwell Woods near Morpeth.
It was very quiet with barely a car about, the road was undulating, the uphill sections not so steep they were a struggle and the downhill parts just enough to allow me to pick up the pace and before I knew it I had gone 7k all on the same direction, away from home!!!.
So it turned into a long run but that was ok, the breathing was fine throughout and legs only suffered slightly at the very end.
15k at a decent pace and my first long run since November 25th.
Plenty to look at on the way round also as I spotted a Kestrel, a fox, a pair of buzzards and somewhat bizarrely a Little Egret on top of a tree just outside our estate.
Run happy, run safe.
