I made myself a challenge to run 58k or 36 miles which is the distance between myself and my 2 daughters houses in a month and I have done it . I didnt realise that February was a short month when I started though lol! My next challenge is to get up to 7/8k. Only got to 6.3k so far. It hasnt all been easy...but getting easier as I go along. Thank you for all your support. It really keeps this crazycat going! :)

Well done crazycatme! Do you have a plan on getting to 8k or are you just gradually extending your runs? A mixture of short and longer runs worked for me 😀

Thanks! I was planning to do a longer run on a Monday so I would have had 2 days rest over the weekend and 2 shorter runs. I am hoping to gradually extend the longer run over the next 2 months and will try and get to 10k by the end of April...hopefully thats the way to go :)

Sounds like a good plan CCM - very similar to what I used to get to 10k. I would however echo O505k's comment below about consolidation. Happy running! 😀

Looks like you have recently graduated C25K. Consolidate at the 5K (or even 6k) distance for a few weeks. This will give you a chance to build strength and stamina. You will see lots of references on here to ju-ju’s Magic 10k plan (see the pinned posts section) it’s a great plan mixture of short and long runs.

Have fun 🏃‍♀️
