Phew ... that's 7k in the bag. Still on course for my long term 10k challenge.
Lovely morning for a run, a bit chilly to start but no wind so quickly warmed up.
I know it's all in my head but it seems I always feel totally exhausted at the end of a run however far. I felt the same at the end of Saturday's 5k Parkrun as I felt today after 7k. Likewise after 1 - 2k I always feel like this is going to be the run I give up on but so far have always made it to the end. My body's just about holding together so I really must get my head sorted!
Happy running everyone!

Great job on reaching 7k so far and powering through those first couple km. If you're exhausted at the end of your runs, try slowing down further; I suspect you're running too fast. I know how hard it is to slow down when we already think we're going slow, but we can always go slower🙂
Thanks for the advice ... wish I was going fast enough to slow down! I always start off really slowly, not much faster than running on the spot for the first few minutes. Maybe I'm speeding up more than I realise.
Well done Wizziewood... 7k 😊you are doing great. (I think you're on ju ju's plan too?)
I'm with you on that mental issue of just finishing a run, just waiting for the prompt to say you've done the distance... no matter what the length of run I'm doing.
At least we are getting there, thats the main thing.😊x
You’re doing fantastic, it’s definitely in your head coz your legs are busy doing other things!! I feel exhausted at the end of a run too...but it doesn’t last long & then the smug smile arrives!!
