A very wet 7K

I can’t quite believe I’m writing this one, but I managed to run for 7K this morning. After dropping my daughter at school and getting seriously rained upon I did have second thoughts about going out, but am so glad I did. The first 2K was tough - possibly due to the hills I’d forgotten about on today’s route - but then I got in my stride and the 7K was done! I’m now looking forward to the rest of Week 3 on JuJu’s Magic plan and wondering if running in the rain is now my new favourite thing🤣

Very well done NewRunner4. That’s fantastic, and yes I agree that running in the rain is a whole lot of fun! 💦💦

Thank you. Yes, I think I’m converted and won’t put off running in the future if it’s raining. Who am I?! 😜

It's a great feeling . I also did my first ever 7k this morning like you in the rain. 😊

Fantastic effort, starting w3 with the longest run and a hill in the rain, definitely in your stride. Thanks for showing the Christmas crackers how to do it. I was going to save my 7k for Friday but I’ll maybe just do it tomorrow to join you and Buddy34 not that I’m in the least competitive 😉 booked my place on the Cape Wrath 10k race last night, it’s not till May so plenty time to learn hills.

Thanks- go for it. To be honest I just wanted it out if the way. At that 2K mark I was thinking about making this the short one. Very glad I pushed on as the rest of the run was most enjoyable!

Well done NR4!!! I'm not sure I would have survived the rain and the hills, especially the hills :)

It was quite nice actually - the rain that is, not the hills. 😂
