I started couch to 5k last February. And yesterday I finished my first ever 10k. I never knew I could be a runner. I can step into 2019 with this achievement and can create further goals for coming new year. Thanks everyone for inspiration and motivation throughout my journey to 10k.
Happy new year!

Why not pop over to the Marathon and Race Support forum on HealthUnlocked and see what the long distance experts think? I’m happy pootling around doing 10ks so haven’t looked farther ahead.
Make sure you consolidate your 3 x 30 minute runs for a few weeks to strengthen your running legs before maybe joining a 10k plan (again, check out the Bridge to 10k forum for advice and ideas!) Lots of us have had success with ju-ju- ’s Magic 10 plan, a pinned post you could check out on there. 👍
You sound motivated, so the running world is your oyster. Good luck! 👏👏👏
Thanks so much for replying. I have joined marathon forum. Next step will be doing 10k at least once a week with 2 5ks. And somewhere I read, cross training helps. I might join gym and do it once a week. Hopefully this will help. How often do you do 10k per week?
I’ve only run 10k twice so far, but I intend to do about 1 per month, plus races. I like the distance. It feels far, but doable for me. I began C25K in June and I’m totally hooked! Have fun! 👍
