Having started couch to 5k after Christmas I completed that and have been running since. Increasing my distance slowly. I bought some new running shoes after gait analysis at Humber Runner shop and just dud my first 10k run.
Anyone else doing the Hull 10k this year???
Feel a bit anxious as I've always run alone and not sure how I will feel at the event but at least I know I can complete the distance.

Lovely shoes! Is anyone else you know also running? If not, you will find that mass events are so exciting and there is always a great mix of runners and a really friendly atmosphere. There will be many others feeling just like you. I still get really nervous about events but always love them on the day! You get such a buzz from them - and of course there is the bling! Don't forget the bling!ππ
I wish they did do the men's shoes in pink and purple !!! The colours don't seem to be as adventurous and you are totally right they should just do all the shoes in all colourways xxxx my favourite colour is red but they didn't have that either x
Congratulations! How was the gait analysis? Do you think those shoes will help? Iβm tempted to get one but I love the trainers I have got. Iβm doing the Tees 10k in September. Managed my first 10k on Monday too.
Excellent tasha. Yes the trainers I had were comfy they were asis mens 7.5 as I have wide feet but the guy at the shop explained they were trail shoes a bit more sturdy ad for off road in and heavier. Also the traimed socks I got were so great they are so cushioned. The running trainers were mens ones due to having hobbit feet but I wasn't liked to shoe type as my gait analysis showed I run straight and don't do any turn or pronoting. They shoes are totally worth the money you can feel the difference. It took a while to find the right pair I tried running in quite a few in the shop before choosing guys at humber runner were great
