Thank you Helenwheels !! We are quietly proud of our badge and the hard work it took to gain it !! Is there a Paul McCartney connection with your user name, as it was the title of a 'Wings', single back in the 1970,s ? We are big Paul/Beatles fans in our family and have seen him in concert 10 times !!
Hi CP2 ! Ye, we found it was the right distance for our current fitness level and we were ready for the challenge ,both physically and mentally. We had no problem at any point conversing ,and there was still fuel enough in our respective tanks ,so its just a matter of consolidating now and keeping things fresh by setting new goals.Just a little more aware now of not pushing too hard and enjoying our longer runs at a more 'leisurely', pace. The shorter runs are where we intend to do the spade work in the near future !!
Wow that’s great and yes, when you do the longer ones you might feel ok but also know that your body is at it’s limit if fitness; that’s what I found. I’m not able to have a regular routine at the moment and it’s a bit frustrating but never mind.
I think consolidation will be good as well as hill work, and intervals. Not done those yet but I do hills and it’s so nice being on flat again!! Also I recommend the nrc: how fartlek can you get (or similar name).
Thank you CP2 , its encouraging that there are so many of us on the same journey, giving each of us ample opportunity to both motivate and receive ,the benefit of one another,s experience and knowledge .
