10k: starting the 10k plan today going to... - Bridge to 10K
10k

Go for it Paul,
why don’t you do the short run outside to get a feel for judging pace,
if you are not using a running app on your phone
, try downloading footpath and you can accurately plan a route and disfancce from home before you set off, time it and calculate the pace

Good plan Paul. You’ll make it to 10k, no worries. Keep us posted how you’re getting on! 🏃👍😀

That sounds like a good plan to me

Mmm if I’m given a plan , I follow the directions as I always think there’s a reason why it’s planned that way 😇
But good luck Paul and enjoy it.

Its up to you Paul, but once the runs get longer you might prefer the structure of the Magic No. program which has the three different length runs. Stopping while you still have something left in the tank is quite a good feeling I think.
Good luck 😊x

I prefer repetition rather than skipping. I repeated C25K, then near the end of 10k program l started it again from scratch and once graduated l went through the whole thing again. Did the same with HM and now with full marathon training. My idea is to get stronger through lots of easier and slower runs, build up and go from zero again. As a result l can do HM as a training run and feel not overtly tired. Practice through repetition is what l do in general life, running is the natural extension.
