Following up on latest minor injury and all the excellent support/advice here I reviewed my gait, and all is good. Shoes, absolute no no, tut tut ‼️ So new shoes tried, and purchased 😬. Not beautiful but practical 🙃.
Had a wonderful sports massage this morning - not the most pleasant of massages, but necessary. Few more days resting the old leg, then off the IC and out into the cold, can't wait😳.

Nice shoes Gran4z ....well done for being able to resist taking them straight out for their maiden voyage, it will make the first run even more enjoyable having to wait!!
Hi Gran4z...new shoes can take a little while to break in, so maybe reduce your distance a touch, that's the advice I was given.
I love Brooks running shoes and have 3 pairs myself, when switching from GTS 18's to GTS 19's it took about 20k until my legs became used to the new design, but after that they were fine.
Thanks for the advice Andy...won't be going very far anyway owing to injury, probably incurred because I hadn't replaced my more than worn down shoes - they were comfy, I was very attached to them...then they started falling apart 😂, I'm learning very slowly. Happy running 🌻
Thanks cheeky chipmunks - trying hard to resist the pull of the shoes...they're trying to lure me out! Frosty out there this morning, looks beautiful. Happy running ❄️🌻
Lovely shoes Gran4z , maybe while your still recovering you could just wear them around the house to start wearing them in. Then you'll be all ready for their first trip out.
Now hadn't thought of that...I've just been looking at them lovingly 😂. Used never to look on trainers that way - definitely think I've been inhabited by an alien!! 😎
