Well this is getting to be a habit now!!!
First the fractured and sprained ankle, which meant no runnjng for 3 months....until mid September, then last Saturday I hurt my back and was in pain up until yesterday morning. I booked myself a sports massage Tuesday and after a good nights sleep, a Pilates session concentrating on freeing up my lower back and a hot shower I felt fantastic yesterday morning.
“I’ll be running gently tomorrow” I thought to myself as I put my toesocks on and walked round the end of the bed to open the curtains. Then somehow I managed to ram my toes around the sliding wardrobe door and dislocated two toes ( I have very hyper mobile joints so they pop back in again quickly) but I thought I’d broken a toe at first. Sat on the edge of my bed, clutching my foot crying with pain and frightened to look and see what it looked like with no sock.
I did eventually and the 2nd to last toe was turning purple so I rubbed at Arnica gel in gingerly and put an ordinary sock back on, couldn’t face the toesocks ☹️
Anyway the rest of yesterday was agony. Every time I stood up it was like a knife going through my foot but my daughter had my car so I didn’t go to A&E- and to be honest they don’t do much with toes anyway. Then in the evening I soaked in Epsom salts and rubbed Arnica gel in again.
This morning it is still sore but not so bad walking and I have my car back and could manage the clutch pedal ok too.
But I think it will be a couple of days before I’m running Jujus plan again.
