Not running again!!

Well this is getting to be a habit now!!!

First the fractured and sprained ankle, which meant no runnjng for 3 months....until mid September, then last Saturday I hurt my back and was in pain up until yesterday morning. I booked myself a sports massage Tuesday and after a good nights sleep, a Pilates session concentrating on freeing up my lower back and a hot shower I felt fantastic yesterday morning.

“I’ll be running gently tomorrow” I thought to myself as I put my toesocks on and walked round the end of the bed to open the curtains. Then somehow I managed to ram my toes around the sliding wardrobe door and dislocated two toes ( I have very hyper mobile joints so they pop back in again quickly) but I thought I’d broken a toe at first. Sat on the edge of my bed, clutching my foot crying with pain and frightened to look and see what it looked like with no sock.

I did eventually and the 2nd to last toe was turning purple so I rubbed at Arnica gel in gingerly and put an ordinary sock back on, couldn’t face the toesocks ☹️

Anyway the rest of yesterday was agony. Every time I stood up it was like a knife going through my foot but my daughter had my car so I didn’t go to A&E- and to be honest they don’t do much with toes anyway. Then in the evening I soaked in Epsom salts and rubbed Arnica gel in again.

This morning it is still sore but not so bad walking and I have my car back and could manage the clutch pedal ok too.

But I think it will be a couple of days before I’m running Jujus plan again.

Oh (insert swear word) 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 what an absolute crock of wotsit! 😫. Stubbed toes! Bed casters and such like just waiting to cripple us Excruciating too 😳

So, keep up with the Epsom salts baths etc. Rest up too as being without shoes and socks will give it room, cos it's gonna be swollen for a bit

Put your feet up as much as possible. Day time telly is really good 😄

🤥🤫😎

It basically felt like someone had grabbed 2 toes with one hand and the rest of foot with the other and was trying to rip it in two while simultaneously jabbing something between them

Good job I have kittens to play with 😜

Perhaps I ought to wear mine just walking round the house I stead of just gardening ( used to work in a warehouse).

misswobble profile image

I always wear slippers in the house now because of stubbing issues in the past 🙄

Not usually but I think I have been more tired lately due to having 2 new kittens- 1 each for myself and my daughter ( our Xmas presents to each other), integrating them with the big furbabies, also my daughters one being ill from the day we got her and 3 days later ending up at the vets for 3 days incurring a £600+ bill. Then my one being spayed and refusing to wear the buster collar so I stayed downstairs with them all so I could keep an eye on her the first night.

Probably biorhythms are out of synch and making me clumsy.

But they are all so gorgeous and worth it all.
