First in very long time 5am morning run in the pitch black village. I forgot how awesome and quite it is. Although surprisingly, I mat dew peope waiting for buses and two other runners
I planned 5K for today's run with possible stretch to 5.5K. I nicely managed to have slowly increasing pace throughout the whole run Yes, I started below my comfy pace that I established during last 30 minutes run on Wed. Most of the time it was good and pleasant run. There was one point after 4K when I was out of breath. There must be some small bu very long incline, as it was the same spot as previously when I struggled during my graduation run. Or I just discovered toxic 4K after I crossed certain point, it became easier again As I wa running late and felt better I decided to push and go for 5.5K.
Unfortunately, I have bad news. I need a bit longer rest. Yesterday, after long walk with dog, my underknee (somewhere in cross ligament area) I started to feel discomfort. No sure, if it's due to hectic 3 days at work (mostly standing and walking), going back to previous trainers (that are a bit warmer and water-"resistent", i.e. there are not wet after 5 steps on morning grass), or the long ~5K walk with dog. Whatever reason, today my knee is worse after the run. Running was quite ok, I could just feel this spot. But warm down walk... Man, that was surprise. Stretching didn't help a lot. So longer reat it is. For now, at least 2 days, maybe 3. Will monitor my knee.
Enjoy your runs an rest days!

Th weather forecast for afteg work was quite wet Whie running in rain is 2in1 with shower, but running when it's pissing is a bit too much for me. Especially with being on the boarder with common cold
About the rest... I just hope my knee will be back to normal soon.
Thanks. Well, on the long runs I tey to keep the pace really low starting well below comfortable / norml pace for me. I believe this keeps me away from most toxic whatever, staying only for toxic ~5
Well done Iga! I haven’t run in the dark yet and I’d love to, except I wouldn’t run my regular route. ‘Activities’ which I’ll leave to your imagination, have been known to take place there, so I’d rather stick to daytime running! 🏃♀️🏃♀️
Wow I've never run in the dark as I like the back tracks and paths and avoid a full tarmac run -Respect!
Yes there's no lack of face in taking longer breaks between runs to stave off further problems.I regularly have two to three days breaks and some issues are much better .Happy days!
I have plenty core and upper body while playing with my 30 kg (4st10lb) black furry love. As she is mixture with American Stafford Terrier, she has plenty of strength ;D
I should add legs and butt exercises. Google says that pain behind knee might be a consequence of a bit weaker gluteus.
And current exercises will be lying down as much as possible and avoiding all the housework
Well done IgaT great job on the 5.5K that’s great! I do love the quiet early morning runs just before dawn too. Sorry to hear about the knee pain, how does it feel today?
Thanks ThunderSloth, my knee feels better. I did almost nothing today, so I hope proper rest did help. Will see tomorrow, as probably will go for a short walk with my dog and see how it feels.
