Completed my week 4 this afternoon with a 5k. I attempted to push the pace a bit and completed it in 30 mins 35 secs which is a PR. Very different conditions to Sunday's run – blue sky, sunshine and the thought of gloves never entered my mind! A really nice, enjoyable run after spending 5 hours on the A1 and M1 earlier today.
Rest day tomorrow then the 4k of W5 on Thursday.

Thank you for the reality check! Later this evening I did have a thought 'I'm going into week 5 of Bridge to 10k and I'm feeling strong, so maybe I could run 9k this week'.
When I started running (back in the heat of June) I had no intention of competing (bad memories from school athletics). I started C25K to support my healthier eating and cutting down on alcohol to help me lose a few pounds and inches around my waist a bit faster. But then I found myself really enjoying the running and wanting to improve. So I only compare my own times to my measure my progress. We're all on different journeys that started somewhere unique to each of us. Enjoy your long run in the sun today!
Good luck with your goal. From all I've read here, the best way to reduce times is to increase distance/endurance. I just want to run as much as I can without injury!
Yes that was one of the reasons for me doing juju’s magic plan. All going well so far.... I agree staying injury free by listening to your body is really important. Those exercises on rest days are so vital.
