Chuffed with my time in the rain this morning. PB 32.15 for 5K with a split of 6.26 / km.

I also feel a little bit like a real runner going out in the rain!!!

Maybe the extra lubrication helped you fly a little faster hehe

nice one! I love running in the rain (which is just as well as I live in Belfast :D )

Thanks for posting your improvements in pace as it has given me some confidence that I can speed up too

Surprisingly I quite enjoyed it! Was a bit worried I might melt! 😂

No worries. I’m not focusing on getting faster just going further and I think the pace is just a result of me getting fitter!

I think (hope) you're right Im only at 7K so far but definitely feel stronger. I hate walking in the rain but running is lovely!

You are further on than me then my next run is 6K 🙈. I agree running in the rain is def good

I'm a lot slower than you - my average parkrun is 35 minutes. If I can do 7K then you surely can.

Hopefully! Prob not at that pace but slow and steady is a good thing!

Well done Elles, that is an excellent time. You are doing great. I took my new jacket out this morning but just had wind , no rain.

Thanks 😊 its still too warm for a jacket for me so I got very very wet!!!

It was very warm yesterday. I ran in my vest. Took my trusty jacket though, around my waist. I fell down and hurt myself so glad I had my jacket Hankie too, which made a good bandage. Be prepared peeps 👍

Aww no! Hope it wasn’t anything too serious. I stayed on the roads today because I knew if I added the field in I would end up in a heap

I'm going to try my hardest to avoid being a real runner! Well done you, from a fair-weather-solar-powered-runner.

It was actually quite refreshing! I def wasn’t suggesting that fair weather / treadmill runners aren’t real! Anyone who runs has my complete admiration! It was just a personal achievement not to make an excuse that it was raining 😂

Obviously we're all real coz we're doing it, but I really would like to dodge the rain. It's wet!

I have to admit that I don't think I'll feel real though until I can keep up with the pack at a park run or the first time every other runner out there doesn't run past me 😉

I did my first park run a couple of weeks ago and I wasn’t last but I def didn’t keep up with the pack! I can’t do another for quite a while because of shifts so I’m hoping I do better next time 😬
