Thought I'd do the notPark Run 5k today. I registered during C25k with the intention of doing it after I graduated. But then lockdown happenned. So I thought I'd give it a virtual go.
Set off and it was cloudy but really muggy. At the half way point though it started to rain, which was a blessed relief! So I was soaked and happy when I finished with my slow but fastest 5k yet at 41.18. I'll crack that 40 minutes eventually!

Go you!!! Great result! Are you still doing intervals??? I bet running in the rain was nice. We haven't had half the rain forecast but there's still time⛈️
Obviously paying off you must be pleased with that time. I haven't done them for a couple of weeks but I've just found a new one in Nike Run club so hopefully try that next week.
Grand accomplishment but more importantly, you can get wine delivered in bulk??? omg sign me up. When lockdown was announced my last purchase that day was 10 bottles to celebrate/weather being quarantined with the fam.
You can get it delivered by a range of folk eg Naked Wines, virgin Wines, The Wine Society etc. We use the Wine Soc as it is profit sharing and you get great wine.
Well Done Fionamags, that’s great to hear, the rain came just in time
I did the same thing, registered & planned to run immediately post graduation to keep up momentum, even ordered a pink wrist bracelet... 😀... hopefully I’ll get to my first not parkrun soon, still gearing up to start running again after a month on ic, no reason to delay now the heat has passed 🤔
I did exactly the same except mine is purple. It will be all the sweeter when park run starts up again. Good luck with your return - hope its not too long before you're running legs are back in action.
Hope you manage to get back to it then - you've had quite a long spell on the IC. You were going great as well. Still the runs will always be waiting for us. Xx
