Decided to try out my new trail shoes at the parkrun after yesterday's rain, and they seem to have done the trick! Most of the route is on grass, and most of it seems to be uphill which I know is a physical impossibility. But try telling that to my glutes! CP2 went off like a shot at the start but I caught up once I got into the grassy bit. I was dismayed to see the 34 minutes pacer bound off into the distance, but I finished in 34.09 which is a huge improvement for me. I think they may have shortened the course?

I am thinking of going for a gait analysis and buying new pair of proper running shoes after what the analysis recommends
I now know where to go for it, the same specialist sports shop that I bought a running belt recently
I watched a video of what a gait analysis is, ha, you have to run on a treadmill for about 45/60 seconds in barefeet, if I do go for a gait analysis I'll have a bath or shower about a hour before it and wear a pair of socks which I have never worn before. 😊
I'm very happy with my time, I've been trying to get under 35, but I wasn't expecting to get so far under. Might have to have a small glass of something later 🍷🍷🍷
