Running away the day...๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ

I needed this run - it revived me after a busy day at work! Grabbed my lovely Brooks Ravenna's and headed off for a breezy run around the local roads. I'm extending my midweek runs a little now as I build my mileage up for the GSR in October. 7k at a steady pace - really pleased when I looked at my splits and saw they were all very similar. My plan is to do a few Fartleks ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ™‚ on Friday again and then extend my long run distance on Sunday - bit nervous about that actually but hopefully if I go slow and steady my legs won't fail me! Happy running!๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ™‚

Revived at that pace? I'd be on my knees ๐Ÿ˜‚ interesting post for me though - i had put a slight increase in my plan for my next weekday run, but wasn't sure if I should or not. Seems it was a good call ๐Ÿ™‚

Wow! Thatโ€™s a fabulous pace over 7km. And lovely to hear that it was reviving as well. Donโ€™t overthink your next long run. Only ever run the run you are running (if you know what I mean!) x

Iโ€™m doing GSR too, and that pace is amazing!! Youโ€™ll smash it. Iโ€™m hoping there isnโ€™t a cut-off time ๐Ÿ˜ฐ๐Ÿ˜ณ

I donโ€™t think there is equi. Weโ€™ve cheered people on who have walked most of the course. But youโ€™ll do great.

I'm not actually on the 10k programme - luckily ticked that box a while ago. Am training for a 10 miler next month(16k) and hoping to do a second HM in the spring (fingers crossed!) Good luck on your journey to 10k- it is a great challenge and probably my favourite distance to run.โ˜บ

Ah ha. That explains that wonderful pace. For some reason graduation badges donโ€™t always show on my phone app.

Thanks, I never intended to run 10k when I started this journey in March but it gets you hooked a bit , doesnโ€™t it? ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜€

Is that after walking the plank? Tell me, are you going to be a Santa or an elf?

I think the free costume is a Santa but if I could choose Iโ€™d prefer to be an elf.

Nothing beats a great run after a busy work day to perk you back up. A cracking good pace! Best of luck on your GSR event.

I hope you donโ€™t mind me asking..what app are you using?

Hi - I actually bridged to 10k quite a while ago now so sorry for any confusion. A few of us still post on here, just as some continue to post on the C25K forum. If you are looking to progress to 10k then one of the administrators on here, ju-ju- , runs a '10 is the magic number' programme. Think there might be a link to it at the side of these posts? She posts running goals and also short motivational video clips. There are apps out there but I'm afraid that apart from Couch to 5k a few years ago, I haven't used any other preset training plans. Good luck with getting to 10k - it's a great goal and fab distance!๐Ÿ™‚
