Steady away

First run in my new shoes which I enjoyed. It was great out there this morning. Not too windy and fresh which really suited me. Just steady, trying to keep to a decent pace for me. Knees were sore so stopped again early enough. Hope to build up to longer runs soon. The great thing about running is that you can adjust so many things if you need to and I really enjoyed the mindful aspect of it today. Love and Light to all.

Great to get out for that first run in the new shoes. You're right it was very fresh this morning but now where I am in Scotland its about 17 degrees ,lovely.

I've had a few knee niggles , what helped was ibuprofen gel if you've not already tried it. Enjoy the rest of your weekend 🌞

Just wondering if you usually suffer with your knees? I'm having a few problems with mine and I'm wondering if it's because I'm not doing sufficient stretching. I have been foam rolling my quads and am going to try and build up my glutes. I know my core needs some work too. Obviously can't get to a physio so am just generally trying things to see if they help. What about you?

I am stretching more and more as I had a previous Achilles problem. I'm going to do knee strengthening exercises and only run short distances and build up again. I never used to suffer with my knees so it is concerning. I may invest in a foam roller. Thank you for the advice. Much appreciated. I've looked on YouTube for some exercises to do as well as the recommended ones from the NHS. I'll have to be patient. I'll go tomorrow and see how they are.
