Woke up way too early this morning and had to force myself to go back to sleep. It’s actually quite deceivingly warm here in Guernsey 🇬🇬. I woke again at around 5am, then 6am. And I thought, nope, this sleep thing isn’t going to happen. So, there’s only one thing for it. Get out there for a run and feel the sea breeze! So, up, kit on, bit of faffing (mandatory!😂) and I’m out.
It’s a benchmark run. 7 mins warm up, 3 mins run hard and 5 mins cool down. Love it!! 😍 That bit where you told go hard for 3 minutes!! Hey...it’s what running dreams are made of! 1st K 7.07, that’s the warm up. 2nd K 6.44”! 😲who’s that girl?? They don’t give you the Split for the cool down! No worries, I had fun!
Now, when I got back (feeling Fabulous, I might add 😉), I thought about my early runs in the C25K programme in “Little Park” near my home and my two events where some lovely pensioners walking their dogs did their ‘slow runner passing by’ 🐌 impressions 😂! The Moonwalk Man and the Bionic Woman! And I laughed out loud today!! If they could see me now! I’m a whirling dervish!! 💨 🌪 🏃🏾♀️🏃🏾♀️🏃🏾♀️🏃🏾♀️! They did mean well and I said that at the time too. I’m actually very grateful to them. 🤗 They gave me my running mantra “Out there, don’t care”!

Sounds like an interesting run. What’s benchmark run? Probably something for the future🌺. Being somewhat jet-lagged I too woke at silly times overnight, gave up in the end and went running - not as early and not as fast; want to go back to bed again 🙃. But granny duty awaits!!
Oh Gran4z you're well ahead of me 🤩! It's really quite a short run, but with a blast for a few minutes. Its 15 minutes in total, but it asks you to go all out for those 3 minutes non-stop and I definitely try my best to. I believe it's for improving your strength and speed over time and the App adjusts as you go along to accommodate your improvements. Quite ingenious really. Plus it really makes you feel quite achieved in such a short space of time. Fantastic! 😍😃

Nope, I’m being a rebel!! Not really 😂, just pacing myself. I’m no longer scared by the prospect of a 10k though. I like to think that I’m going for the accidental 10k, at the moment. 6k in my Nike+ programme on Saturday. It adjusts to your results as you go along. So I must be doing ok. 😬❤️
I think your plan sounds good. There are big jumps in the Magic 10k routine. I think 10% increases every few runs might suit me better. Will see how I go, and enjoy the running, rather than battling to achieve a distance 😎

"set"...you have a 7 minute warm up (with a coach telling you just relax, run easy and slow and you'll be running as fast as you can later, then "go, go, go", pretend you're doing an olympic 4x400 and there's someone waiting for you to pass the baton and there's a race to be won! No more snail, (just this once!😏 no more last, this time ) it's first place your going for and fast as you can! 🏃🏾♀️🏃🏾♀️🏃🏾♀️😅❤️

What a lovely run Fabulous and you have found a plan that fits in with your life. Not like us retirees that can lose a day as a result of one run. Lovely pic too.
It sure is Razouski. Very nice indeed. It took some courage to go out to run in unfamiliar surroundings, but I'm so pleased that I can do that wherever I go now. 😁❤️
