Just got back from my Friday benchmark morning run. 7 mins warm up, 3 minutes run hard and then 5 mins cool down. So......up, kit on...quick mental scan of the body...is it going to be up to a benchmark? Well...there’s only one way to find out....and out I go!! 😉
Start the App! Listen to the introduction telling me what I’m going to be doing as I warm up! ✅ But thinking what’s that music in the background? Well it’s a playlist, there’s bound to be something better coming up. Though, should have checked was what I was really thinking! 🤨 Just trying to trick the mind that it’s not a natural disaster and it’s music after all! 🎧 🎵HOWEVER.....😂😂😂 it really was a bag of crap (to my ears anyway)! It was so discombobulating, that I tried (and failed) to change the playlist mid warm up, thinking no way am I going to be able to run hard for 3 minutes to this!! 🤣🤣🤯🤪!
So, having no choice, I accept my fate and go for it!! Thankfully, the App has a power song icon that you link to one or two of your favourites that make you feel like Sir Mo 🤓 and I press to get one of those. The legs get into action coming up to the 3 mins. It worked (to a degree 😏) and the 3 mins segment is done at average 6:46. I definetly slowed towards the end, but tried my best all the same. Then I’m back to the playlist for the cool down 5! Thinking boy 🙄, note to self...’never go out without checking the playlist again’! 🤣!
It’s a quick 15 minutes and it’s a run! So it’s all good! We’re doing ok!! And....it’s better than a wardrobe malfunction, by far!! 😉 Bonus!! 🤩
