Went out tbis morning for thie first time since returning from a holiday in America on 13th August . Been jet lagged and distracted with life BUT I absolutely bloody loved my run this morning.
The crisp early morning freshness and breeze was wonderful. I did a fraction over 5km it was tough but I did the best time since May.
I've been touching 40min 5k.s in the heat this one was 37. And after only going out a handful of times for about 6 weeks I am well happy.
May this wonderful running weather long continue ππ

It really does make a difference to speed. I only just graduated a week ago after a two week break before W9r3 and Iβm so much faster than I was for the early W9 runs in the heat.
I start back out there on Sunday this weekend. We are due to see some rain on Saturday morning which will be the first since the beginning of May and the temp is due to be back in mid 20's in the day and high teens in the morning so I am SO looking forward to it not being 28C by 8am. I starte dthe C25K in August last year and loved the running in the autumn with all the trees changing colour.
All excited now about Sunday!

No, I want the heatwave back. When the heat went, my energy deserted me. But great that it works for you. And youβre look fab, lovely and brown x
Well done and I agree! After starting in May and running through this heat wave, the cool, the breeze, the rain make all the difference! Love it! ππ»ββοΈπ¦
