Still consolidating!! May never do more (but I don’t care!)

This is 4 weeks post graduation and I’ve continued to do 3 runs every week. There has been progress as of the last 6 runs, 5 of those have been 5k!! The times are improving too with a pb this morning of a fraction over 34 minutes. However my favourite run this week was a shorter one of just under 3k with the LGO (little ginger one - aged 9) who joins me occasionally and has slotted in at week 5. It was also a tourist run (Moffat) so had a lot going for it! Next visit there I’ve promised to join their running group one evening but it didn’t work out this time (I’m a bit afraid of all the hills around there to be fair!).

Summary of this post

I can do 5k 😃

I may not do 10k 😱

Sometimes it’s fun to do less 👍🏻

Ditto Sybilw, but we still love running and are doing better than when we were on the couch. 🏃‍♀️👏

Agree entirely, variety is the key to keeping it interesting. And 34 minutes for 5k is pretty whizzy!

Exactly the approach to have 😊.

I love this post, thanks so much. I’m putting so much pressure on myself to reach 10 km 😖 maybe I’ll take the scenic route instead. Enjoy your runs.

Remember you only signed up for C25K and even if you join the B210K forum just because you look doesn’t mean you have to buy!! Remember to have fun. Good luck.

I graduated last week and am doing my third post graduate run today. I am working now on building up speed to do 5k in approx 30 mins. Took me 41 minutes last week ( I wanted to see if I could do 5k and how long). However, for me, the most important thing is that I enjoy it. Look forward to my next run. Chafe a bit on rest day etc. It has to be fun or you will give up. Keep enjoying.

You too. The only pressure is coming from you. Congrats on your graduation. That was our main aim remember. 😊
