So after my cruise last week today finds me in Poland with work. Packed my running gear for the first time and did 5k round a nearby park this morning before work. First outside run in two weeks after a week on the IC and a week of runs on the treadmill whilst on holiday. Harder than I remember but good to be back outside.
Due to return tonight but flight cancelled thanks to Ryanair. Leaves me stuck until Thursday so I’m going to take the opportunity of another run tomorrow night after work. Running gear has been washed in the hotel sink and is drying as I write. On to Strava shortly to plan a route.
Hamstring still not quite right but definitely easing to a very slight niggle.

Shame you're stuck but tourist running has its benefits. Seems a bit unfair you have to work when you were due to fly back anyway... take the day off! 👍😉
Thanks JoJo. Definitely enjoyed the tourist running. Got lapped by a guy on rollerblades (didn’t know they were still a thing).
Would love to take the day off but as I can pretty much work anywhere it’s not an option 😀. Plotted a nice river run for tomorrow past the castle though.
Krakow must be a fab place for running. I spent a few days there some years ago and loved it. I'd include the Jewish Quarter in my route and try to finish somewhere near the fabulous tea shop there that has so many teas that the menu is the size of a novel! Each tea is served in its unique pot with matching cups.
Kraków is definitely a great place. Been many times but not seen too much as always working - one day I will come back with the family and will add the tea shop to an already long list of things to do 😀
Decided on a river loop for tonight that goes past the castle and the Jewish quarter.
Krakow is a lovely little city. Hope you made the most of your stopover. Glad the niggle's improving. Sometimes we just need to make the most of what Ryanair throws our way
Stock up on hand-carved wooden chess sets too while you're there..
