... and I was! With my German accent, even!
After my unfortunate break from running, due to a panic filled encounter with a dental surgeon, a goodbye to a cracked tooth, and a week of managing pain with ibuprofens, anaesthetics and yogic breathing, I am fully back!
So right on the first day I was ‘allowed’ to run again, I donned my gear not quite knowing if I was up for it. But with my gear on, I knew I couldn’t let the opportunity pass, so off I went to my old 4.5k route, allowing myself the possibility of cutting this to 3k.
But, no need. The bounce 🎾 was there right from the start, my knees did feel a bit vulnerable at first but it quickly disappeared as I warmed up.
Weather was fresh 🌦, looking like it would drizzle but it didn’t, so perfect for a Sunday morning.
Ran with Zombies 🧟♀️ , and Runkeeper’s Boston Fan Coach, who offered me beer 🍺!
On this route it was the 3rd fastest run of ca 20, so not too bad. It felt so good I couldn’t even get myself to stop to take a picture📸, therefore the shaky image which is supposed to express my dynamic return to the running world! 😂😂😂
Happy running everyone!
