Good morning fellow runners, how are you all? I'm back after just over a week’s running break due to a holiday. I think I need to get back into a proper running schedule again, I’m conscious that I've had too many breaks due to the weather recently since doing my 10k. I thought I would kick things off with an early 5k this morning. No personal best or records set but still good to get out there again. I see the weather forecast is for lower temperatures after tomorrow so I'm looking forward to running in more normal conditions again

I love a steady 5k - great way to get back into things. I have been running throughout this heat, but getting tired getting up so so early to run! I have always been a morning runner (not once have I run after 8:30am since starting this malarkey!), but getting up at 5:30am is wearing thin! I console myself with the fact that working out in warm temps makes us fitter! Drink plenty of water and dream of crisp autumn runs! x
