Hmmm I appear to be doing this year's Great North Run!!

So you know how it is, you're at a wedding and talking to your wife's friend who is a runner and who has been nagging you all year to do the GNR. All year you have been saying no but now she says she knows someone who has a place but can't make it.

You've had a few pints and before you know it...

So I am now doing the Great North Run 😂😂😂

Haha, I once was talked into doing a 5k run with a mate after a few too many beers. He's super fit and can do 10k in 40 minutes. I was still on week 8 of C25K 😂 We did it the next day - I've never been so exhausted in my life. Anyhow, best of luck!

Wife and two daughters have done it on a few occasions.Not recently.

Their mother and grandmother is from South Shields and lived very close to the finish.

I know the course quite well

Although I have never ran it.
