Great North Run Park Run prep

Well, just over a week to go until the GNR and typically the asthma has flared up over the last week. I am back on the steroids but hadn't run for about 10 days.

Given all this I approached the Newbiggin Park Run this morning with some trepidation and sure enough I felt like I was struggling at about half way however I managed to shake it off and managed a strong and, by my standards speedy finish.

Time was 33.27 and I came 53rd.

Will do a 10k hopefully mid week then it's the big one next weekend.

Run happy, run safe.

Well done Chris, you got through it in a good time. Take it easy doing the 10k, need those legs nice and fresh for the big one. See you Saturday mate 🤗

Well done - good to have got that run under your belt. Rest up and drink lots.

What rotten timing - the asthma I mean, not the parkrun! Well done on fighting back. Good luck next week, take it easy
