After 2 nights of very little sleep, I spent some time deciding which run to do today. I finally fell asleep at about 3am to have the cat meowing at me at 6am.Then I dragged myself out with my neighbour and off we went.
Dinner last night was delicious, a vegan lasagne that my granddaughter had made for my daughter which was big enough for 4. But I can still feel this morning that I made a bit of a pig of myself.
I explained to my neighbour that I was tired and felt a little delicate and would probably walk instead of run.
Now, I thought I'd chosen the NRC run where you run hard for 12 minutes, turn and run back faster, the idea is you run back the same distance in 11 minutes......when I pressed start turns out I'd chosen 8 x 1 minute 5k pace with 2 minute recovery intervals.
I've said before I'm great at following instructions so I ran and felt terrible but after a minute I was slowly running recovery.
It's a bit of a saga with my Garmin that keeps updating GPS, the short version is Garmin are replacing it after weeks of do this do that delete those files send us the report.
So it's in its box waiting to be posted back and the one I'm using is a forerunner 625 which although is similar is just not the same.
Meanwhile my neighbour is running week 3 run 2 of C25k. I go ahead then during my first recovery she runs past me. I run faster again, overtake her and don't see her again until I'm walking back.
This Garmin doesn't show the time I've been running so a bit of mental arithmetic and I worked out if I did 4 sets and turn I'd be back at the beginning, or maybe 5.
So I'm running along, still feeling a bit delicate but enjoying myself, that's the third run I think to myself, then oh that's 5 so turn, but I must have lost count because the next run was the last one!!!
Where's my neighbour? She should be just a bit behind me, I run/walk back, hmm ah there she is, she'd finished and come looking for me so earbuds out and we walked back together chatting. She covered 4k by the time we were back at the car and I'd done about 4.5k so we were both happy.
It rained in the night, a bit of cooling drizzle this morning and now there's blue sky again.
Enjoy your day whatever you do π
We haven't had a selfie yet this week so here we are after our run .
