Isn't it strange how one run can differ so much from the next! I went out early this morning, decided before I went that I would do 5K, as my 3rd consolidation run since graduating from C25K.
It usually takes me about 5 minutes to find my rhythm and rid myself all the stiffness, aches and pains, so I kicked off and my right patella knee ligament was grumbling (tweaked it playing footie with my son at the weekend, old injury had it for years), but that sorted itself out, my right achilles was also moaning, that sorted itself out after 5, but new to the party was an ache in my left calf, and this wasn't going away... Shall I stop I thought...? No way (I am incredibly stubborn), I was going to make it to 5K, so I pressed on.
Completed the run and got home, iced the calf and then had a hot bath, now I have an ache radiating through my ankle when I push down through my foot, it doesn't hurt massively but it's uncomfortable, think I am going to have to have several days off...
Feel fed up now, but not going to let it stop me, just something else to overcome!
