Sounds like it is all coming together well. Well done for running round that field so much without getting dizzy
I feel I also need to apply some order and planning to my running as well as it's at risk of becoming too random although other people see that as the "pink method" lol. Hopefully if I train for a Marathon I can get some of that structured goodness I see other people getting on the Asics etc plans.
Will never forget your words and much more, cryptic as it may sound , to run faster you must first run fast.
Hope that’s verbatim.
I think the body is so clever at wishing to perfect a particular modus operandi , that I have found it difficult to break loose.
If any of that makes sense.
Also JuJu’s original mantra made me think and of course much more on this forum,
Push that body Punish that body,
I think of course, abide by the proven, tried and tested wisdom, and I have no desire to send me to the IC, not going to happen through stupidity, but I need to push sensibly.
Sorry Michael, just an excited novice that just loves this running malarkey.
Take care of that shoulder.
Often watched the running people in our gym, doing their pull ups and floor, kind of moving plank extensions, using a bar and weight on each end like an axle and two wheels.Considerable reps.
When Laura gets you up to 165 bpm?,On stamina podcast, the audio fuel beat goes haywire.
I cannot blame the goddess Laura.
Never.
Actually I think she is even correct with her breathing advice in the speed podcast.
Apart from many obvious things, including abdominal breathing,
I thought about another reason / link/ fact today,
When she has you at 165 bpm, she asks you to breathe gently/quietly/ calmly/naturally through your nose, elite 100 m runners hardly breathe during the event , certainly calmly / no panic, and at their interview after they are gasping.
Bit like the advice lifeguards give to bathers if they get caught out of their depth in cold water.Vigorous breathing can lead to panic and fight or flight type behaviour and unfortunately loss of life.
Sorry about that, no question there are many breathing methods and each have there place in running,I believe they are all to be used for given situations and gears.
Also read with interest that 180 bpm is the place to be to get your heels shooting out the rear.
You are a machine Tbae ...all those runs?! I think you’re already out of your shell, there’s nothing dinosaur about you....it’s obvious that you are having fun doing it...all because you can xx
