Hi, I'm only halfway through couch to 5k but was wondering if there is an app similar to c25k that will take me from 5k to 10k, when I'm ready of course.

Many thanks xx

There are lots of different ways of getting to 10k - but first consolidate your 30min or 5k running get that to feel 'normal'. There are various apps, c25k+, ju-ju's Magic Number 10k plan, adding 10% of your total distance to your longest run each week. The link below has lots of info.

Thank you very much. I known I'm not ready for any more then 5k yet but I'm enjoying running much more then I ever thought I would so am keen to progress with it. Xx

Me too. I started c25k 5+ years ago and was happy just to run but then 10k beckoned, a HM looked... umm interesting and now I'm full marathon training 😚. Others have gone the same route quicker but then I only started this to run for fun 😄. And so far (everything crossed here, don't want to jinx myself) by taking it steady or just good luck, I've not had any running injuries.

Best wishes for your graduation and beyond.

Not really a free app but there are some you can pay for. There is ju-ju-‘s plan over on the bridge to 10k forum. I didn’t consolidate, just went straight onto 10k (within 16 days of graduation), but I think I could do this as I ran 5k in the ParkRun for run 3 of week 7,8 & 9 so I had pushed myself on.

Some say consolidate 5k; others push on straight off. It’s up to you.

Good luck 💪🏽
