It’s getting hot ☀️☀️☀️

Got my long run fix this morning. Getting quite obsessed with making sure I can fit it in at some point in the weekend.

Loads of people out, even before 7am. Only running for an hour but was getting pretty warm by the time I finished. May need to think about taking water until the colder weather returns.

11k and a map that looks a bit like a squashed pair of glasses. What more can I ask for?

I love your speccy running route . 11km in the bag is good in this heat. I don’t take water either but I’m wondering if I will need to on longer runs if the hot weather stays with us. 🤷🏽‍♀️

My better half has a small hand held bottle so I might try that for size. Don’t fancy the idea of carrying something but I guess it’s that or a running belt that can carry a bottle.

I got a water back pack that carries all your oter stuff too. Yet to try it out.

What indeed 😃

You could take water if there us no access to any along the route I stop by our cemetery tap or nip in the shop. Take a bit of cash

That’s good idea. There is a Co-Op on one of my routes do buying is an option. I don’t like the idea of stopping as I always worry I don’t start again but a good idea to have cash just in case.

I was dying of thirst and heat once on my back from a long run and had a lightbulb💡 moment about a possible tap in the cemetery. It was well hidden but boy oh boy. Best water I ever tasted 😁 Gasp

It’s not good for us to get so thirsty, that’s when we can get those annoying injuries,. A hand held 350 ml is ok When mine’s empty I stash it down my front

Well done, especially the time. I did 11k on thursday and it took me 1hr 50m. mind you, it was pretty hilly, but even so, it took me nearly twice as long as you.

I do need to do a more relaxed long run soon, they’re much more enjoyable. Today I needed to be back to take the kids swimming so I needed to crack on. Mostly downhill out of our village and then flat around the next village along so the only real hill wasn’t until after 8k.

I do wonder how fast I would be without the ubiquitous hills!

😀 Ah but you have fantastic views and I think it’s nice to take the time to enjoy them. I’m going to head out on the trails again soon and enjoy being out in the countryside

What more indeed - sounds like a great run. I wondered about water for the first time today - didn't take any but if I had some I'd definitely have had a swig or two.

I do hate the idea of carry stuff though.

Perfect, and in my book early mornings are the only time to run. You can’t beat it 😎

Definitely. Cooler and quieter, and you’ve still got the whole day ahead of you.
