Hot hot hot

Hiya,

Went for a no-strings/goals-attached run just now. Decided to put my run/walk interval timer on 0 so it would just continue without having a fixed number.

I started on my usual route, but after 7 minutes in, I turned right instead of left and decided to take a whole other route. One I have regularly walked, but not run with some nice scenery.

Had to run on the bicycle road right next to a busy (car) road where they drive 70 km/h to get back to the park and in the direction of home. That was less pleasant, but if I continue on the scenic path, I end up at rather deserted spots and too far from home for a weekday.

At 25 minutes in, I was near the spot where I usually end (so this route was slightly shorter) and I decided to call it a day. How nice to not focus on a certain time or distance.

Another thing I decided is that if I see something nice and I want to photograph it, I just do it. In the past I did not stop to take a pic because I was running and could not stop. Now, I will just stop, take the pic and continue on my way.

In those 25 minutes I reached 2,84 km. Not much, but what can you expect from 25 minutes? Either way, I did enjoy myself, just doing what I wanted. Just a quick reminder to myself: invest in some good pairs of shorts and a running cap. Because running in black, long running thights in 24°C in the shade is NOT a pleasant feeling ☀

Cheers, Evy

Sounds like a good run 👍It's nice to run without goals or pressure for a change !

And nothing wrong with stopping to take a picture , it dosent take long , unless your carrying a camera , tripod and lighting of course 😂

I do actually have 2 tripods and several cameras. But I find them even too much to carry on a walk (hence the dust on them), let alone on a run 😂. No, just my trusted lil smartphone. I do have to get it out and in of the back pocket though 😜

Actually, I have a tripod and used to have a decent DSLR camera , but got fed up carting it around with me !These days the smartphone is fine 😁

That’s good glad you enjoyed your run today without putting pressure on you running to times etc taking it easy . Nice picture as well. A lot colder for Easter and next week forecast in the UK shock to the system . 😎

I know, normally we were going to our chalet at the coast for Easter weekend. But with those chilly temps, we might just stay at home... Lovely running at the coast though, in between pastures and fields. Miss it...
